Raw sugar is not processed to the same extent as white sugar and contains vitamin B, iron, copper, magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. The reason refined white sugar is so harmful is that it is stripped of all the B vitamins and minerals needed for metabolism of sugar in the body. Therefore, the body must use the reserve nutrients already present in the body to properly metabolize refined sugars and flour. This depletes the nutrients’ availability for the functioning of memory, learning, emotions, skin, hair, muscles, nerves, eyes, blood and intestines.

The food industry “banks” on the addictive chemicals in processed foods.  These super sweet additives and subsidized GMO grain fillers give the illusion of cheaper food until the doctor’s bill comes. Consider what it takes to really prevent disease.  Yearly exams of detection is not prevention.  We are the sum total of the choices we make.  What will you choose to eat, think, do and be today?  What else is possible?
